Yes! The official app experience will recommend a path forward - but then allow a champion to choose their own. You will also be able to group with people across different houses in future versions of the app as well as level up any archetype you want.

Also a reminder that an archetype is simply a passive bonus, a champion will be able to level up any class at any time.

They light up your desire to collect rare things (GIMMEEE SHINY RARES) Earlier versions of the app will feature the ability to equip one creature card from your bestiary for passive buffs.

More excitingly, future versions of the app will feature a player vs player strategy battle card game!
